[SPIED] 2026 Corvette ZR1X Visits the NCM Motorsports Park

The 2026 model year might be one of the most exciting and consequential in the 70+ years the Chevrolet Corvette. While the Corvette ZR1 officially got underway in 2025, it’s going to be the 2026 models that we really start seeing on the road, and we’ll see if Chevy can live up to the expectations of “building as many as they can.” And if 1,064-horsepower isn’t enough for you, then stay tuned as we also have the 1250-hp Corvette ZR1X that is waiting in the wings.

We barely got a look at the new 2026 Corvette ZR1X as it was revealed last month at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, and since then it’s been very quiet with no other public sightings. Until now!

Our friends at the NCM Motorsports Park shared some photos yesterday of a 2026 Sebring Orange ZR1X Convertible parked in front of the Holley building at the track. This ZR1X is different than the show cars that were presented during the reveal as it’s the first ZR1X model we’ve seen that is set up as a low-aero car without the ZTK-style rear wing, front canards, and the extended gurney lip on the frunk vent.

The ZR1X is expected drop sometime in late 2025 according to the rumors, but I don’t think anyone from Chevrolet has provided a definitive date as for when deliveries will start.

But when it does arrive, the 2026 Corvette ZR1X will be a performance monster featuring a 0-60 mph time in under 2 seconds, a quarter-mile in less than 9 seconds at over 150 mph, and a top speed of 233 mph. Some of the advanced features on the car include the eAWD system, carbon-ceramic brakes from Alcon featuring 16.5-inch rotors with 10-piston front calipers, Stealth Mode for electric-only driving (4-5 miles at up to 45 mph), and a new PTM Pro mode for track performance.

Of course, the other real piece of news that everyone is waiting for are those rumors Nürburgring lap times. Chevrolet engineers had the ZR1X, the ZR1, and the Z06 at the German Track in late June for recording a record lap run in each of the cars. Now we are just waiting (patiently!) to see how they will roll this info out to enthusiasts. Will it come all at once, or will Chevrolet tease the results by waiting until the ZR1X starts customer production.

No pricing for the ZR1X has been announced, but most watchers are believing it will drop in the $200,000-$250,000 range, making it the most expensive new Corvette to ever be produced.

  1. “I’ve seen Nurb lap times you people wouldn’t believe. Cheater tires and engines on meth off the shoulder of the Carousel. I have watched cheater tunings notary C-beams glitter in the dark halleys of pay to play records. All those moments will be lost in time, like forum tears in rain. Time to die.

  2. No mention in the article or pics of the interior…Was hoping to get a look inside since this car looks to be a regular production version..

  3. I bought my first Corvette in 1967. I currently have 2 Corvettes in my garage, but I fear GM is pricing their core supporters out of the market.
