We’ve been following the exploits of Boost District’s owner Rohan who has been working on his E-Ray platform for over a year now. It was in April 2024 that he first ran the E-Ray on the Dyno for some base numbers before the car would eventually be upgraded with Boost District’s 1000 hp twin turbo package for the LT2.
One of the benefits of working on the E-Ray is that it has the same 6.2L 495-hp LT2 V8 engine as the Stingray, and over the years those packages for the Stingray have been thoroughly tested and are right at home with the All-Wheel Drive E-Ray. For you Z06 owners, Boost District does offer an 800-hp package for the Z06 which adds twin turbos to the car.
The Boost District E-Ray started off with a mild build featuring the BD twin turbos, stock camshaft, and tuning to make 870 rwhp. Roshan and his team then swapped the car’s stock LT2 for the built LT2 427 motor with beefed up internals which then got them to over 1030 hp at the wheels. This package became the genesis for their 1200HP Stingray/1360HP E-Ray packages, and Roshan claims they can take that power to about 1400 hp with the right engine and drivetrain upgrades.
With several track dates and tuning sessions in between, the E-Ray was continually refined until it reached its goal of being the first E-Ray to hit the 8s in the quarter mile. This street-driven beast made 1,376 AWHP at just 14 PSI, powered by a pair of next-gen 6870 turbos feeding the 427ci engine. Keep in mind that the car is still very much drivable on the street and retains its full interior and creature comforts like air conditioning. Watch the video below as Boost District’s Twin-Turbo E-Ray sets the record in the quarter mile with a run of 8.891 seconds at 156.67 MPH.
One of the philosophies of Boost District’s builds is everyday reliability and drivability. They use the factory ECU which can be unlocked and professionally tuned for your build. For the LT2 in the Stingray/E-Ray, Boost District offers the ability to supercharge or add turbos to your engine. Their stage 1 builds typically takes about two weeks to complete at their South Dallas location.

No, Lingenfelter and Callaway are the only two performance shops where modifications actually increase the value of your Corvette. They are also one of the few who offer a warranty on the components they modify to replace the warranty you lose from GM. Sure other shops may claim to deliver more horse power per dollar but when you weigh the entire package these two shops are the only ones you must consider.
Many thanks,
Ray
The article says it has air conditioning, etc. which implies that it’s still just a normal every day street car that you can drive to the track. However, whenever “hero” runs/cars like this are reviewed, it’s very important to know what they are using for fuel to get those numbers. 93 octane? Doubtful. 117 octane VP race fuel? Probably. E-85? Maybe.
Using other than 93 makes things fussy and puts it in the category of race car to my way of thinking. Using E-85 and it’s lousy fuel economy – same. If mpg range gets short enough, might as well buy an EV.
For $65,000 over the cost of an E-Ray, you might as well just buy a ZR1X and have OEM warranty and reliability. It’s not that much more.
