As it’s the first of the month, we’ve been anxious to get back to the Chevrolet Live Inventory Tracker to see how many Corvettes were listed as available at dealer showrooms across the country. Our last review came on March 31st which showed a total of 4,532 Corvettes available including 753 remaining 2024s. How are we looking now? Let’s get into the data.
We started doing these On the Ground posts on a regular basis beginning in January this year. With the reconfiguring of the Assembly Plant and the closures associated with it, we’ve seen the number of Corvettes available dropping as new production is not keeping track with current sales. That’s a good thing as too many Corvettes were starting to languish on dealer lots. With a tighter supply, dealers will hopefully be able to better manage their inventories without having to give away the store.
Since the two-week closure in March, production has very much slowed down, and now the 2025 Corvette Z06 is the model being produced the most, and it’s not even close. Last week the totals were 137 Stingrays, 230 Z06s, and 0 E-Rays. No, we have no idea why E-Ray production has gone to zero and its somewhat disconcerting considering the last one produced happened on April 11th.
The Chevrolet Live Inventory Tracker is currently showing a total of 3,244 vehicles total, which includes just 451 remaining 2024 models. That’s a drop of 28.4% from the total we had at the end of March. Here is the full breakdown:

We always like to see what dealers are selling these Corvettes for as the Inventory Tracker gives us the ability to sort by price. While there were a couple of “in-transit” Stingrays at the top, leading the “available” Corvettes is this Black 1LT Coupe offered by Terry Labonte Chevrolet for $65,678. For the most expensive Corvette listed, it’s a 2025 Corvette Z06 Convertible 3LZ from Bomnin Chevrolet Dadeland in South Florida who has the car listed for $185,630.

Great coverage of the statistics!
And the 5 Cacti Green 2024 Corvettes will still be for sale a year from now.
In my town the three dealerships inventory is down, the discounts are down, and disposable income is down. The big Land Rover dealership has 50-75 new cars hidden out of sight on a lot 5 miles away. Don’t want the customers to expect discounts if they know the truth. Sure you make less cars and inventory will go down.
Contrary to some thinking, dealers want Corvette inventory on the ground come spring.
Buyers come in and want to drive out. Many do not want the order and wait process.
Having inventory for immediate delivery also generates trades, especially Corvette trades.
A big congratulations, to Mr. Terry Labonte for paying attention and applying his understanding of Economics 101.
In microeconomics, supply and demand is a economic model of price determination in a market place. The concept of supply and demand forms the theoretical bases of modern economics.
Many thanks,
Ray
