Corvette Inventory On the Ground Falls by 21.6% Thanks to the Assembly Plant’s 2-Week Closure

It’s a simple formula. With no new Corvettes being built for the last two weeks as the Corvette Assembly Plant underwent some upgrades inside, the number of available Corvettes on the ground has fallen dramatically.

It’s not a prefect stat as the last time we measured the “On the Ground” inventory was on March 7th which showed 5,781 new Corvettes available and that included 1,009 new remaining 2024 Corvettes. That’s a decrease of 21.6% since we last looked. Today we are looking at 4,532 Corvettes available with 753 of those being remaining 2024s. Over the same time period, the number of remaining 2024s has dropped by 25.4% as well, so dealer discounts do appear to be working.

What we are also hearing is that the number of Corvettes that are completed at the plant and awaiting shipping to the dealers is at a near low. A source on the ground in Bowling Green tells the count is probably between 25-50 Corvettes that are now in the back lot waiting for transports to carry them to their selling dealers. The number of Corvettes also waiting for delivery at the NCM is low to none as well.
