The defining characteristic of the 2024 Corvette E-Ray isn’t that its a hybrid, it’s the All-Wheel Drive system that provides performance and stability in all kinds of conditions including the snow.
Our friend Mike Brink lives in the Dallas area which was blanketed with snow following a winter storm moving through the region earlier in the week. Wondering if his 2025 Corvette E-Ray was up to the task, Mike decided to go for a test drive even though his car was ordered with the ZER package that included the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires instead of the standard all-seasons. Mike believes if he can make it out of his neighborhood with those tires, it’s still a testament to the E-Ray’s all-wheel drive.
Mike calls the conditions less than optimal due to the snow turning to slush, and the streets were covered with it as he made his way out of the neighborhood. “For a Corvette, this is handling it amazing,” he says of the road conditions. “I’m sure my front splitter is scooping some of this stuff up,” Mike adds.
During his drive, Mike tested the grip by driving up a gradual incline which he successfully navigates. At one point he gets out to look at his car. The splitter was free of slush, but he had quite a bit of snow and ice building up within the wheel wells.
One has to wonder what those people driving by in the 4×4 trucks were thinking about seeing a Corvette driving in the snow!

Ladies and gentlemen, today I will show you an E-Ray out in the snow, what we call a blizzard here in Dallas Texas, and let you know my thoughts on how good it does.

I wouldn’t risk a $120,000 car in the snow ❄️. Buy a jeep.
Mike, watching your videos is always a treat.
You are always so explicit.
But you left one thing out on this one.
What’s the game plan for getting that beauty, beautifully
clean again?
