The Corvette Z06 has now been available in Japan as a right-hand drive model since its introduction and by all accounts, it has been well received. In 2024 there were a total of 411 new 2024 Corvettes that were exported to Japan with 123 of those being the ’24 Z06 Coupe. Currently, only the Z06 Coupe has been sold but we expect that to change as the convertible models become more available.
What prompted this post was this new video from Chevrolet Japan that shows an Arctic White Z06 Coupe driving on the city streets. Chevrolet Japan reminds us that although the car was developed as Chevy’s C8 Track Weapon, it’s also refined enough to drive around town. Whenever we see a market outside the USA embracing America’s Favorite Sports Car, we refer to is as being part of the C8 Corvette’s world domination tour.
Japanese buyers can learn more about the Corvette Z06 at ChevroletJapan.com.
From Chevrolet Japan via YouTube:
The Corvette Z06 was developed at the same time as the racing machines that won endurance races in IMSA and WEC. While it allows for intense driving on a circuit, it was also developed with daily driving performance on public roads in mind. The development theme was “overwhelming performance on the circuit and excellent ride comfort.” As with previous Corvettes, there was no compromise on comfort. You can enjoy the glorious track record on public roads as well.
