The National Corvette Museum to Host a Richard Prince Photography Exhibit in 2025

If you’re a Corvette enthusiast, you likely have seen the work of legendary photographer Richard Prince, whether you realize it or not.

A recent Corvette Hall of Fame inductee, Prince has been taking photos of the past four generations of the car. Now his efforts will be recognized in a special exhibit at the National Corvette Museum in 2025.

More than 40 of his images will be on display, on different substrates, according to Robert Maxhimer, director of Curatorial Affairs and Education for NCM.

“So they’ll be on metal, they’ll be on acrylic, we’ll have some of them framed,” Maxhimer said. “We’re also going to have and I’m not going to say exactly what, but some amazing cars on display in this exhibit that have never been on display in this museum. So it’s going to be very exciting.”

The current Luster exhibit will close in early January, and the “Speed Captured: The Photographic Works of Richard Prince” exhibit will open Friday, March 7, 2025.

Known for capturing the essence of motion, design, and adrenaline, Prince will share iconic Corvette images that bring the thrill of the track to life. Whether you are a racing enthusiast or an art lover, Speed Captured offers a striking perspective on Corvette’s legacy of performance.

In other news from the NCM, the new year will see more than 20 sponsored events, including the Michelin Bash on April 24-26, 2025 and the anniversary of the museum and the Hall of Fame ceremony on Aug. 28-30, 2025. The newly expanded Corvette Hall of Fame will also debut in the second half of the year.
