Don’t get us wrong, we do love to be surprised by the Corvette Team. The 2025 Corvette ZR1’s 1,064 horsepower and its official top speed of 233 mph are proof of that!

However, Chevrolet has also surprised us by making a major change for 2025 to its best-selling Corvette Stingray that wasn’t discussed at the Bash when members of the Corvette team roll out all the updates for the new model year. It turns out that in addition to launching a new standard Z51 rear spoiler, Chevy also made the Z51’s front splitter wider than it was in previous years.

Our friend Rick Conti says he was walking by a new 2025 Corvette Z51 Stingray and noticed that something was different with the front splitter. He put a tape measure on it and found that it was now nearly 2.5 inches wide versus the 2024’s 1.5 inches.

On his Facebook page, Rick comments:

Very small change we mentioned recently on the channel that has not either been noticed or simply talked about. Getting a 2025 Z51 car or a Corvette with the low spoiler; which also gets you the front splitter as comes standard on Z51. What we noticed is the 2025 is just a bit bigger all the way around. Surprised they did not mention this at the bash with 2025 changes, but here it is FYI

Rick compares the new front splitter to that from a 2024, and offers us multiple views of both. You can definitely see that its significantly wider on the outside corners of the splitter, and it is wider at the middle point of the Stingray’s nose as well.

When it comes to front splitters, wider is better! Thanks to Rick for sharing this great catch.
