National Corvette Museum Names Amy Hardin as New Director of Development

The National Corvette Museum has announced that Amy Hardin has rejoined the organization as the museum’s Director of Development. Amy previously served as the NCM’s Director of Philanthropy from 2018 to 2020. As the NCM’s Director of Development, Amy will be responsible for “developing, establishing, and carrying out effective multi-year fundraising programs to support the ongoing programs, projects, and activities of the National Corvette Museum.”

“I’m honored to rejoin such an enthusiastic and passionate team at the National Corvette Museum,” explained Hardin. “The Corvette has always been more than just a car—it is a symbol of American innovation and culture. I look forward to collaborating with our community of supporters to ensure the Museum continues to thrive and inspire future generations of Corvette enthusiasts.”

Hardin is a two-time graduate from Western Kentucky University and brings a background in non-profit management. She has two decades of experience in philanthropy and has worked with Western Kentucky University, Middle Tennessee State University and the American Cancer Society for building relationships and helping to set strategic fundraising goals for these organizations. When she was with the NCM from 2018-2020, her signature accomplishments include helping to develop Elfi’s Silver Pearl Sisterhood and also securing funding for the E. Piece Marshall Performance Gallery.

“As we continue to grow and evolve, having a dynamic leader like Amy at the helm of our development efforts is crucial,” explained Kaye Wagner, National Corvette Museum Board Chair. “Her expertise in cultivating relationships and securing the support needed for key initiatives will energize our donor base and elevate our mission, which includes expanding its educational outreach, enhancing visitor experiences, and securing resources for the future growth of the Museum.”

Amy received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, and the press release says she is also an advocate for the special needs community, namely those with autism spectrum disorder.

Could we please take a step further by allowing Ms. Amy Hardin to take over for Gm’s Ms. Mary Barra CEO position?
Ms. Hardin has established her commitment and passion to the Corvette cause and would apply her graduate level of education. You have to ask yourself, would it really hurt GM’s bottom line, based on it’s recent failures as well as it’s lack of consumer commitment and it’s dismal quality controls?
