[SPIED] Josh Holder’s 2025 Corvette ZR1 is at the NCRS National Convention in Virginia

The NCRS National Convention is being held this week in Hampton Roads, Virginia and the show usually attracts its share of classic Corvette fans. This year, visitors to the show found out about a special car that was spied out in the parking lot – a brand new 2025 Corvette ZR1 that was driven to the show by Corvette Chief Engineer Josh Holder.

If you think you have seen this particular ZR1 previously, you may be right. This ZR1 does appear to be the same Riptide Blue Corvette ZR1 Coupe that was shown to Assembly Plant employees during their live reveal on July 25th. It has the same Carbon Fiber split-window engine hatch as well as the two-tone Sky Cool Gray interior that we saw in photos on Facebook thanks to our friend Adam Boca of the NCM Insurance Agency whose tells us his post from that night has already exceeded 5 million impressions.

Josh also brought a couple of friends along from the Corvette Team. Corvette Assembly Plant Director Ray Theriault is there as is now retired Executive Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter.

While I know there is a huge contingent of fans who would have liked to see the huge ZTK-style rear wing on the back of the car, but this prototype is without it. Josh’s ride is a non-ZTK, or as we like to call it, the top-speed edition.

In these pics from our friends at Corvettes at Carlisle, we also get a shot of the mighty 1064-hp LT7 engine nestled in the Coupe’s engine bay.

It’s pretty cool to see the new 2025 Corvette ZR1 at the NCRS National Convention, and we can’t wait to see it for ourselves in two weeks at Corvettes at Carlisle.
