If you have owned a C8 Corvette Stingray and are tempted to add some additional horsepower to your car, you may want to watch this video below from Boost District. C8 Corvette Owners generally have two routes to take with adding more power to their Stingrays, and today the process is fairly straightforward as the R&D has already been completed.
Boost District is a tuning shop out of Texas that has recently burst upon the scene first with their world record Supercharged C8 Corvette Stingray and more recently they have been working on their twin turbocharged 2024 Corvette E-Ray. Boost District’s owner Roshan says they have already completed 82 supercharger builds to date, so he knows what he’s talking about. The Twin Turbo builds are fairly new to them, but they already have customers lining up to get the package installed.
It’s pretty interesting to see a tuning shop offering both supercharger and turbocharger upgrades, and that leads to some direct comparisons between the two aftermarket power-adders. I wonder if they have done a procharged setup yet as well?
Roshan then takes us through two real-world C8 builds and shows us where everything is mounted. We also get to see and hear both the supercharged and turbocharged Corvettes on the dyno which provides us an idea how each sound under heavy throttle. Roshan also gets behind the wheel of both cars as he takes them for a drive on the street.
So are you a turbo guy or a supercharger guy? Watch the video and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
From BoostDistrict via YouTube:
Today, we get to show you guys the Pros and Cons of the Turbo and Superchargers. Both have their places in the industry but it’s all in your preference and goals.
You can see more on both builds by visiting www.BoostDistrict.com. And you’ll want to stay tuned as well because there is a Z06 there getting twin turbos as well. We’ll be waiting for that build for sure!

Each can be used to increase power, fuel economy or both, and each has pros and cons.
The amount of oxygen that an engine can breathe is limiting factor as to how much power it can produce.
Superchargers can provide their boost almost instantly, where as turbochargers typically suffer some response “lag” while the exhaust pressure required to spin the turbine builds.
“Make mine a turbo”.
Many thanks,

Great presentation – looks like a successful business because the owner is obviously very much involved with taking pride in it.
