The 2025 model year of Corvette won’t start production until Monday, September 9th, but today was the start of the first ordering window as Chevy dealers received their first 2025 allocations this morning.
We reached out to several dealers both large and small and found out that Chevy was making all three 2025 models available for ordering. Not every dealer received allocations and some only got Stingrays and Z06s which has been case recently. Those dealers that did get the E-Ray also confirmed that quantities were low with no dealer we spoke with receiving more than two E-Rays for this round of orders.
Chevrolet will start accepting the first 2025 orders next Thursday, July 25th and that’s when we’ll learn about any constraints. We’re anxious to know if any of the three new colors (Hysteria Purple, Competition Yellow, and Sebring Orange) will be available to order. My gut feeling says yes since the assembly plant canceled 7 different exterior colors several months ahead of the start of the 2025s, but nothing is ever certain with this car.
We will also find out next week about supplies for the new equipment on the ’25 Stingray and Z06s. The Stingrays will start receiving a new default Z51 spoiler while the Z06 has a new wheel design with four finishes available.
And of course, we are still waiting to hear about pricing for the 2025s. Hopefully, Chevy will release that info shortly as those ordering a new Corvette deserve to know in advance of any pricing differences from the 2024s.
As we closed out the 2024 model year ordering at the end of June, customers were unable to order the Z07 package on the Z06 due to a number of constraints. So one of the concerns we have for Z06 customers is if they will be able to order any of the Z06’s carbon fiber aero and ground effects on a new 2025.
Next Thursday is also the reveal of the 2025 Corvette ZR1 and if I was a betting man, I would throw down a C-note on seeing Hysteria Purple Metallic on one of the new ZR1s introduced at the reveal. We’re being somewhat selfish here, but we’re really hoping for a glimpse of the new purple hue on an actual car prior to submitting our order for one. Exciting times for sure!
Next Thursday is going to be an exciting day for a number of Corvette-related activities, so stay tuned to CorvetteBlogger as we work to uncover the latest news surrounding America’s Favorite Sports Car!
