[VIDEO] Boost District Surpasses 1,000 WHP on the Dyno with their Twin Turbo Corvette E-Ray

The last time we checked in with Roshan of Boost District, they had just finished the install of twin turbos in their new 2024 Corvette E-Ray. During its first outing at the drag strip, the car did a fastest run of 9.741 seconds at 152.99 MPH. Roshan is now back with the turbocharged E-Ray and he visits two dyno facilities to see what kind of power its making.

The reason for two dynos is simple. The first dyno is for rear-wheels only and those pulls will help him compare the power of the E-Ray’s 6.2L LT2 V8 engine. As the same engine is used in the Stingray, he can compare those figures to other builds they have done, as well as show potential customers the difference between a turbocharged set up and one that is supercharged or even procharged. His best pull on the dyno measuring just the rear wheels is 831 whp and 814 lb-ft of torque. Add in the 160-hp for the front electric motor and Roshan is nearly at the magical 1,000-hp rating.

It’s the trip to the second dyno that will confirm that. This one is set up for measuring AWD vehicles like the E-Ray. Roshan made multiple pulls on this dyno and eventually had four consecutive runs that put him over the 1,000-hp milestone. His best run was the last which came in at 1,033 hp and he estimates that with their twin-turbo setup, the car has gained 484-hp and almost 500 lb-ft of torque.

Roshan says they will be headed back to the drag strip to see what kinds of times they can do. He says he added the Michelin Cup2R tires to the rear of the car, while also added a Nitto drag radials to the fronts, and he hopes that will assist in helping the car hook up faster than what they had during their first time at the track.

Just a quick heads up, we DID NOT add boost on this. Same setup that ran the 9.70 @ 153mph is on the dyno. All we did in between runs was cool it down and add ice on the last 2 passes. We enjoyed this session and cannot wait to add a proper tire setup on this car to be vicious contender out there!
