It’s been a little longer than expected since we have heard from Roshan at Boost District and the first twin-turbo Corvette E-Ray. In our last video, Roshan took the E-Ray back to the dyno where it surpassed 1,000 WHP in four consecutive runs. After that video he promised a return to the drag strip and that’s the subject of this update.
Roshan says the last time he was at the track, he was having some issues with traction. After doing a wheel swap with his CT5-V Blackwing, his twin-turbo E-Ray is now wearing a set of Mickey Thompson drag radials on the rear of the car that will hopefully allow the LT2’s 875-whp to hook up on the drag strip. He says the only change was simply refining and tuning the bone-stock suspension on the car.
The temps at Texas Motor Speedway aren’t all that ideal, and Roshan says its still 100 degrees even after the sun has gone down.
Previously the car’s fastest quarter mile time was 9.7 seconds at 153 MPH, but Roshan was easily able to surpass that “world record” during the evening’s test runs.
In the video we see Roshan make three passes, but we only get the times on the first two. On his first pass, the E-Ray hooks up great and he runs a 9.6 seconds at 145 MPH. We see multiple camera angles including one from the cockpit that shows him celebrating as the drag radials did everything they were supposed to do. Roshan was also excited to see his 1.49 60-ft time as well which was his best time yet.
After allowing the car to cool down for his second run, he hits the drag strip once again and improves on his times some more. In the second run, the E-Ray went 9.55 seconds at 147.4 MPH and his 60-foot time improved as well to 1.45 seconds.
Roshan tells us that this is the last time we will see the car in this configuration as they have some big plans for it. Stick around until the end of the video to find out what he has in store for the world’s fastest E-Ray.

We’re so happy to see this car leave out of the hole much more aggressive and now we can actually add more boost and more power. This Twin turbo hybrid now can get into action out there!
