No 2025 Allocations This Week

We got a little ahead of ourselves this week and wanted to take a moment to perform this “cleanup on aisle C8”. It turns out some of our information may have been wrong as we were expecting dealers to receive their first allocations for the 2025 model year on Thursday.

Some of the dealers we spoke with were on the same page as well, but now we are thinking that 2025 allocations will likely happen next week (July 18th) with ordering opening up the following Thursday (July 25th).

As soon as we hear anymore about the 2025 ordering opening up, you’ll be the first to hear.

So let’s talk about production for a minute. As many readers know, we are big fans of Roger Kiel’s Unofficial Production Tracker which he posts on Facebook under the C8 Corvette Owners page. Chevy reports how many cars were completed and once Roger has that info, they are added to the counts. When things are running smooth at the plant, the production counts come in like clockwork as we have seen previously. However, things do seem a little “off” over the last few weeks as the counts for all the cars appear to be lagging somewhat.

Right now we have an interesting situation with the production tracker as zero E-Rays have been reported completed since Friday, June 28th. On Wednesday, the tracker also shows just 68 total completed cars with only 12 Stingrays and 56 Z06s listed as completed.

Despite all the zeros on the chart (the plant was closed during the 4th of July week), some owners are reporting that their cars were completed. An E-Ray buyer chimed in yesterday on Roger’s post and said his E-Ray was completed on the 10th as confirmed by the Corvette Concierge.

Another Corvette production tracking site we rely on is C8Tracker.com and they get their counts from the publicly available window stickers. As the new stickers are released, they are retrieved and then added to the tracker. However, they have said that the release of window stickers has been somewhat unpredictable for the last month or so as well.

Again, from these trackers we can assume when things to seem to be running normal, and because both are having some reporting issues, we can’t help but to think maybe there is some stuff happening behind the scenes at the Corvette Assembly Plant.
