The hood on a C3 Corvette is already super long.

But this Zimmer-style C3 certainly takes things a step further – or two feet further to be exact.

That’s how much longer than normal this customized white Corvette has become after a bold transformation decades ago in Miami, Florida.

After years of sitting when the previous owner died, the car went back on the market again, Facebook Marketplace, that is, in Delavan, Wisconsin with a firm asking price of $14,995. By the time we got back to it to post it here, it’s now listed as SOLD!

It’s a one of a kind custom, so we’re still going to share this remarkable build.

The builder “borrowed” two feet of frame from a donor car to stretch this one out, then did some fancy fiberglass work on the hood and fenders to make it all fit. Check out those spare wheels on each side of the front end, too, not to mention the super-wide whitewalls on which the car rolls. The custom work didn’t stop there, however, as a special driveshaft also had to be secured to make the 5.7-liter fuel-injected Cross-Fire V8 engine and four-speed automatic transmission functional.

More recent work to get the car back on the road again includes the installation of new brakes, shocks and fuel pump, a tune-up for the engine, a new wooden steering wheel, and LED headlights and taillights.

With just 46,000 miles on the odometer, this very unusual Corvette should have plenty of life left in it. The question is will anybody be willing and brave enough to climb behind the wheel?

  1. Lots of lost money there. Reminds me of finding a Pantera on a used car lot in the mid 70’s. It was green and had fake side pipes coming out from behind the front wheels as if front engine. I was told that it had belonged to the Jackson Five. They were asking only $10,400…which means it could be bought for a lot less.
