During the Michelin NCM Bash at the Corvette Museum last month, members of the Corvette Team shared the latest production details for the three 2024 Corvettes. We covered the 2024 Stingray’s production stats earlier this week and now we’re turning our attention to the Z06.
It’s been a long, strange trip since the C8 Corvette Z06 was first launched in the fall of 2022, but now in its second year of production, America’s Supercar appears to have shrugged off nearly all of its growing pains from its inaugural year. Customers have been able to order their new Z06s which have been free of constraints and supply chain problems, and the large dealer markups appear to be a thing of the past for most as well.
A total of 30,196 Corvettes for the 2024 model year have been produced or are scheduled for production as of April 1st. According to the production stats, 22% of those – roughly 6,644 – are the new Z06. That’s already more than were produced during the first year of production which totaled 6,413 Z06s.
We saw in 2023 that more Z06 Convertibles were sold than the coupes, but it was probably the 70th Anniversary Special Editions that allowed the HTC to finish ahead of the coupe by about 200 units. Now for 2024, buyers appear to be split 50/50 over the Coupe/Convertible body styles. As the car is only in its second year of production, we do see the early buyers still ordering their cars with the higher trim levels. Most buyers are overwhelmingly choosing the 3LZ trim package with their Coupes and its even higher with the Convertibles:
Z06 Coupe – 50%
1LZ – 10% (332)
2LZ – 22% (731)
3LZ – 68% (2,259)
Z06 Convertible – 50%
1LZ – 2% (66)
2LZ – 16% (531)
3LZ – 82% (2,724)
The most popular colors for the Z06 are the same as the Stingray, but with a slightly different order. Black, Torch Red, and Arctic White are all tied at the top with 13% each, which is around 864 cars per color. Red Mist is fourth at 10% (664 cars) and coming in at fifth was Hypersonic Gray at 8% (531 cars). We mentioned in our previous Stingray breakdown that saw Hypersonic Gray also finish 5th for Stingray buyers and its the highest production of the seven colors going away for 2025. We marked those with an ‘*’ and unlike the Stingrays which shows 6 of the 7 discontinued colors all at the bottom of the sales chart, they are a little more spread out for Z06 buyers. At the bottom of the chart was Cacti Green with just 2% of production which currently works out to roughly 133 Z06s in the one-year color.
Exterior Colors
Black – 13%
Torch Red – 13%
Arctic White – 13%
Red Mist – 10%
Hypersonic Gray * – 8%
Amplify Orange * – 7%
Sea Wolf Gray – 6%
Carbon Flash * – 6%
Riptide Blue – 5%
Rapid Blue – 5%
Accelerate Yellow * – 4%
Ceramic Matrix * – 4%
Silver Flare * – 3%
Cacti Green * – 2%
We also have the break-down for the chassis setups. The percentage between the regular Z06 and the Z07 Performance Package is 58% (3,853) to 23% (1,528). While the carbon ceramic brakes (J57) are standard on the Z07, we did see 19% (1,262) of non-z07 buyers upgrade to the Brembo CCBs.
As for the ground effects and aero, 19% (1,262) of Z06s have the Carbon Flash Metallic aero while 24% (1,594) are visible carbon fiber. For the aero packages, the Carbon Flash Metallic (T0F) is 11% (731) versus 17% (1,129) for the Visible Carbon Fiber wing (T0G).
The E60 Front Lift appears to be a must have for Z06 buyers with 73% (4,849) opting for the option. Compare this to only 45% of Stingray buyers who optioned their cars with the front lift. We believe this is both part of the higher option preferences of current Z06 buyers, as well as the fear of damaging those pricey ground effects.
As for the wheels, Chevrolet offers four aluminum “Spider” designs and three Carbon Fiber wheels. The majority of buyers are going with the alloy wheels while only 13% are going with one of the Carbon Fiber wheels from Carbon Revolution. The best selling wheels in each design are the Black spider wheels at 47% (3,122) while just 7% (465) opted for the visible Carbon Fiber wheels:
Wheel Designs
Satin SOE – 17%
Black SOA – 47%
Machined SOD – 7%
Satin Graphite SOC – 14%
Painted Carbon ROY – 3%
Visible Carbon ROZ – 7%
Carbon Red Stripe STZ – 3%
And finally, here are some of the ancillary options that the Corvette Team shared with Bash attendees.
That wraps up the latest production stats for the Z06. We are looking at about three more months of production for the 2024s, so these numbers will continue to grow! Stay tuned, as we’ll have the latest numbers as well for the 2024 Corvette E-Ray.

Are the rip off dealers still charging over sticker ???
You have 1LT, 2LT and 3LT for Z06 trim packages. Of course, it should be 1LZ, 2LZ and 3LZ. Brain fatigue. LOL
