The 2024 offering of the Carlisle GM Nationals doesn’t just carry the Carlisle Events 50th Anniversary season-long celebration into the summer months, it furthers the long history of one of the most diverse GM-focused car shows in the region. Over 100 years of automotive history makes its way to Carlisle for this event, June 21-22 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. Along the way, those cars populate the National Parts Depot Showfield and help build some memorable galleries of Featured Vehicles for all to enjoy. We are talking about classic AND modern GM vehicles, including cars, trucks, performance rides, and even Corvettes.
Attendees are known for displaying in the Showfield a wide array of GM vehicles from Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and other marks built under the GM banner. Within the confines of the Carlisle GM Nationals are several “shows within the show.” These include Corvettes for Chip, the 3rd Gen Nationals featuring Camaros and Firebirds, a Cadillac feature complete with Betty White’s famed 1977 Seville known as Parakeet, the Solid Lifter Showroom, and the Nova Nationals too.

This “show within a show” raises money and awareness for a little-known disease called Amyloidosis which took the life of Carlisle Events co-founder Chip Miller in 2023. Returning to the Carlisle GM Nationals are the Nova Nationals and the Solid Lifter Showroom. As the Nova showcase goes, the great folks with the National Nostalgic Nova Club have continued to grow this feature. All fans of the Nova, regardless of club affiliation, are welcome to be part of this huge Nova Showfield. Nova classes have a designated area and attendees are welcome to join in all the fun under the Pavilion on the east side of the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds.
The Solid Lifter Showroom makes a big change in 2024, shifting from Building Y to Building T. Brian Henderson and his team from Super Car Workshop are going bigger than ever in June as they welcome Yenkos, COPOs and so much more for what has become one of the most beloved displays at the GM Nationals.
Participants at the Carlisle GM Nationals not only display their show cars and trucks to attendees, but there are some fun automotive competitions that offer the opportunity to roll, rev, and turn heads too! These friendly contests include a rolling exhaust competition and the Real Street Shootout on the autocross track sponsored by UMI Performance. Finally, there are car club battles with awards for the club with the most participants and the coolest club hangout. The team at Hemmings presents the awards to these passionate and fun-loving groups.
One of the biggest draws for the Carlisle GM Nationals is the huge automotive swap meet and flea market with vendor rows filled with an amazing mix of parts, collectibles, automobilia, detailing supplies, as well as just about anything for your shop or garage.
