The Corvette Order Guide has a new distribution update this week as Chevrolet adds a new LPO option to the mix. The update dropped on Monday, and we are still hunting down pictures of it, but so far there is nothing online yet.
While the distribution update refers to the new interior option as “LPO SXB Suede frunk and trunk liner”, we found more details from the Genuine Corvette Accessories catalog which calls it the “Front and Rear Trunk Sueded Microfiber Trim Panel Kit in Jet Black.”
The new suede trim panel kit costs $1,095 and the GM part number is 85600043. Here is the product information from the catalog description:
- Upgrades your vehicle storage area to a sueded microfiber for a more premier look and feel
- Replaces the standard carpet in your trunk and helps maintain overall durability
- Designed to match the interior of your vehicle
- Precision engineered specifically for your vehicle
- Expressive design makes your car stand out under the hood
- Includes one under hood storage trim panel and trunk trim panel set (four pieces)
We note that the version shown on the accessories catalog refers to it as Jet Black and we are thinking this will come in the other 3LT/3LZ interior suede colors to match the interior of your car.
We also checked the Build and Price configurators, but don’t see it there yet. Let us know if you come across it!

So they can’t be bothered to include suede dash, door or roof paneling, but we can pay an extra grand to get suede in the trunk/frunk.

This option will go away as soon as GM figures out that nobody wants it. It certainly won’t be more durable than the carpet they use now. Have customers been clamoring for suede trunk liners?
