I feel like we are supposed to celebrate Leap Year as a holiday because where else can you score an extra 24 hours to do something great with your life! I don’t know if we’re rolling out the kegs, but these extra hours at the end of February have given us some pretty good news regarding the latest constraints for this February 2024 cycle 2 order cycle.

Last week, Chevrolet had broken with recent tradition by sending out additional allocations for the month, and we found that this order cycle was targeting Stingray orders only. Today, the dealers received their constraints, and the GM order bank is now taking those orders.

We had some real good news earlier this week with GM lowering the prices of the Q9O and the Q9Y wheels. These are the new 5-split spoke design in Black and Polished, and we were thinking the Q9O Black wheels may have been reduced to help with the recent constraints on the Q9I Gloss Black wheels. However, there are zero constraints this week on the Gloss Black wheels.

Another on-going item has been the distribution of Z51 vs Non-Z51 builds with dealers being told what they can order. Last month we shared how a particular dealer could only order Non-Z51s for the cycle. It’s now reversed this month and all his orders must be Z51s. With as many Stingrays as they have been building, you would think that they would have worked through this specific bottleneck.

The only other constraint for this February 2024 Cycle 2 ordering is the 5ZU Stingray High Wing in Body Color. Those remain unavailable.

With that being all the constraints for the month, that means that many of the Tech Bronze accessories that were previously on Constraint can now be ordered. That includes both the Tech Bronze Package as well as the accessory 5DG Tech Bronze Wheels.

We are expecting the next allocation window to open on Thursday, March 7th and the ordering to begin on March 14th. If you’re looking at the calendar, there doesn’t seem like there are too many opportunities left for 2024s. We’ll have March, April and May, and then after that, it all depends on when exactly Chevrolet will be doing the model-year changeover. We should start getting some of that info in advance of the NCM Bash in late April.
