Today is allocation day for Corvette dealers as the February 2024 ordering cycle opens next Thursday. We contacted multiple dealers from around the country to try to get an idea on what Chevrolet will be able to offer and the results are mixed.

Several of the dealers we spoke with got zero allocations for the month. A couple reps told us they received both Stingrays and Z06, and then a couple of big dealers got all three models but their E-Ray numbers we were told were nothing to write home about.

We are finding that many stores, both large and small, are receiving allocations for the Stingray that they don’t have customer orders for. So expect to see a lot more discounting of the Stingray as we head into summer.

We are also told that there was zero information about the Corvette in the “dealer deck” of information that is sent, which is like the fifth or sixth month in a row that Chevrolet hasn’t had any marketing info for dealers. We think it’s rather odd that there is nothing to talk about when there is so much news and information out there that dealers could be sharing with their customers.

Next week we’ll have the constraints and that’s another thing that dealers are not happy about, especially with the Stingray constraints where the base/Z51 numbers/percentages are up in the air as well as the lack of the Q9I Gloss Black Wheels. One dealer rep told me that for being in year 5 of production, why is it so hard to get black painted wheels?
