It’s no surprise that the C8 Corvette hardtop convertible has been a hit with customers, accounting for nearly half of all sales.

Offering a great open-air experience, the HTC also makes it very convenient to lower and raise the top without having to exit – or stop – the vehicle without impacting luggage capacity the way storing the coupe’s removable roof panels does.

Now comes validation in yet another industry award for the eighth-generation Corvette HTC, which has just been named winner of the premium convertible/roadster category in Strategic Vision’s Total Quality Impact competition.

“The domestics, especially GM, have made significant improvements in their vehicle experiences by increasing perceived quality,” Strategic Vision Senior Vice President Christoper Chaney says. “The Chevrolet Blazer, for example, not only has the fewest incidence of problems, but also provides strong exterior styling and driving performance resulting in the most fun-to-drive vehicle that they can trust in its segment. Of course, other GM vehicles performed similarly, especially the Yukon which also led by delivering Excitement, Fun, Individuality and Trust. This is the right combination, giving GM owners of these vehicles the highest sense of quality.”

The Corvette wasn’t alone on the Strategic Vision podium, though, as General Motors had the second highest number of winners behind Hyundai, with the Chevy Blazer, GMC Yukon, and GMC Sierra HD also being honored for offering a great deal of value to their owners.

“Most vehicles sold today do not have the problems of things breaking the way they did decades ago. So instead, customers equate quality to all of the ‘things-gone-right’ in their vehicles which include other experiences such as dealership treatment and the overall Value the customer believes they are receiving,” explains Alexander Edwards, President of Strategic Vision. “HMC vehicles not only delivered fewer problems, and strong quality in areas of seat comfort, power and pickup and safety-related driver-assist features, but when combined with their warranty, price point and delivered features, inspired consumers to report the feeling that their vehicles are ‘second-to-none.'”

  1. Just so everyone knows the zo6 that brought 246 k at mecum this past week will be worth about 150 k 2 years from now. People get way to crazy at these Auctions

  2. “…experiences by increasing perceived quality,” Wow, bad timing on this award considering the current mystery issue amongst the other problems.

  3. Strategic Vision, never heard of them. Doesn’t mean squat to me. But it adds to the total award count.
