[ACCIDENT] C7 Corvette Gets Wedged Under an 18-Wheeler in Louisiana


We told you a few days ago about a pickup truck that rolled up the hood of a C8 Corvette.

Now comes word about a C7 Corvette coupe that wound up wedged under an even bigger truck, this time an 18-wheeler!

In both cases, the Corvette occupants walked away with no major injuries, showing the impressive engineering capabilities of the latest two generations of America’s Sports Car.

The most recent accident happened last Thursday morning on I-49 North in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana, according to a report on KSLA-12 News.

Photos from the scene show the passenger-side tires of the truck cab floating off the ground, held in the air by the body of a Laguna Blue C7 Corvette.

Fortunately, no one suffered major injuries in the mishap, which nevertheless led to quite a bit of work by crews to clean up materials spilled from the 18-wheeler.

KSLA reported that another motorist who happened about the scene complimented a deputy with the sheriff’s office for his work after the accident, writing:

“I was one of the 1st people to pull up to the accident on I49 this morning. I just wanted to compliment the 1st sheriffs deputy on the scene. I’m not sure what his name is [Cpl. Jimmie Minor] but his command & control of the scene was not only impressive but when it came to cleaning up the scene he jumped in there with the work crew & helped out! I took several pictures of him & would like to send them to you as well. I just wanted to compliment & say thank you to the Sheriff’s Office as well as the State Police for a job well done.”

  1. Lacking from the story are the circumstances of how it happened. Glad the C7 occupants escaped serious injury.

  2. The South sure seems to have a lot of crappy drivers. Sure glad I don’t live in the “Arm-Pit” of America. Even better reason to stay up here in the much more normal Northwestern area’s. Come on people pay attention damn it!!
