[VIDEO] Here’s What Jordan Taylor Thinks is Cool About the Corvette C8.R

IMSA’s official social media channels have an ongoing series where they have been asking various race car drivers to name “One Cool Thing” about their race car. In this installment, Marshall Pruett asks the question to Corvette Racing’s Jordan Taylor who says he likes the interior of the car. That makes sense to us as that’s where the ace driver spends the majority of his time with the car.

As Jordan climbs into the C8.Rs cockpit, he points out the crash box on the doors and said that the Corvette is one of the only GT cars to have the crash box which keeps the drivers safe in case of an accident. We also note the telescopic steering column which makes it easier during the driver changes.

Casting aside Antonio’s seat insert, Jordan says “probably the best thing about our car is the AC system…it’s definitely the best in the paddock. You’ll see us after a race at Virginia where it’s 90 degrees outside and we’ll get out with no sweat on us, and you look at most the other guys and they’re pretty much destroyed after the race.”

Jordan says that Pratt Miller Motorsports has been very good at giving the drivers what they need to be successful, and that many of the driver-specific features in the C8.R will be carried over to the upcoming GT3 race car.
