Even if you’re not impressed by cars formerly owned by celebrities, you have to admit this 1960 Corvette convertible is a stunning vehicle and might even make you feel a little special sitting behind the steering wheel.
Previously in the collection of veteran actor John Goodman, this Corvette is now being sold at GAA’s November auction slated for Nov. 2-4 at 301 Norwalk Street in Greensboro, North Carolina.
All dressed up in Tuxedo Black with silver coves, this car is accented with a black soft top and red interior that adds a touch of oomph to its presentation. It’s said to be one of only 386 built at the St. Louis factory in this color combination, out of the 10,261 produced.
Its numbers-matching fuel-injected 283/290 horsepower engine is still in place, hooked to a four-speed manual transmission.
Adding to the performance-oriented theme is the clock, heater, and radio delete, though a new Kenwood AM/FM radio has been added during the restoration that also included a re-coring of the original radiator with tags from earlier work retained.
Six years ago, this car earned National Concours Certification at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals and holds a Concours Registry Number of CS1117-830 in recognition of its outstanding concours-standard restoration.
