Arlington Police are on the lookout for a Blue 2023 Corvette that was stolen at gunpoint on early Tuesday morning.
Officers say a man was leaving a local drug store just after midnight when a car drove up to him as he was about to enter his car. The Corvette owner was held at gunpoint and had his keys, wallet and other personal effects taken. The owner was then pushed to the ground and the suspect drove away in the Covette.
A security camera captures both the stolen Corvette and what is believed to be a gray sedan with the suspect’s three partners following after him.

The Blue 2023 Corvette had Virginia license plates with the tag TYG4480. From the surveillance video, it also appears to be a hardtop convertible model with a white body stripe. If you see this car or have any other information, please contact the Arlington County Police Department at 817-459-6777.

I do not understand why police have such a hard time in catching these thieves.
Just call OnStar. They can locate the car and immobilize it. Car thefts have
gone up over a 100% according to the Baltimore Sun newspaper, and police
seem to be indifferent to this crime. My son had his 2019 STI stolen 4 months
ago. The car was recovered. The thieves damaged the electronics so badly, the
dealer is still trying to figure out how to get it working again.

With the DA they have in Arlington VA, if they catch these folks they might give them a ticket for doing this. Truely sad said how criminals are noy held accountable any more.
