Customer satisfaction seems to be at an all-time high for the eighth-generation Corvette – in virtually all areas.
Want more quantifiable proof? Just take a look at the latest J.D. Power U.S. Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study that ranks the Corvette at the top of the Midsize/Large Premium segment.
That’s got to be particularly pleasing for Chevy since this year’s study found problems overall with multimedia systems at an all-time high, with the main trouble being connectivity issues with Apple CarPlay and Android Audio.
“Design problems seem to be getting challenging to solve for car manufacturers,” said Ashley Edgar, senior director of global automotive supplier benchmarking and alternative mobility at J.D. Power. “Consumers are looking for intuitive systems that are simple and not too distracting from the road. The challenge to OEMs and suppliers is translating those consumer expectations into design and functionality. By meeting customer needs, both quality and satisfaction will increase.”
For a hands-on sports car like the mid-engine Corvette, it’s especially important for those systems not to distract from the driving experience. Based on this poll, Corvette owners are pleased with the car’s multimedia system.
Other segment leaders include the Dodge Charger in Midsize/Large, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, and Nissan Rogue tied in Small/Compact, and Mercedes-Benz CLA in Small/Compact Premium.
J.D. Power based the findings on responses collected from February to May 2023 from 93,380 purchasers and lessees of new 2023 model-year vehicles after 90 days of ownership.
