One of the best parts of our Corvette is the ability to personalize our Corvettes pretty much any way we want to. A famous CorvetteBlogger once said that “Corvettes are a blank canvas upon which to create your masterpiece” or something like that. I wasn’t listening really well when he said it. Anyway, there’s not shortage of parts available when comes to adding that special, custom touch to your ride.

While wandering the sprawling Carlisle fairgrounds last weekend we got to see just how creative Corvette owners can be. In fact, we’d wager that there were more Corvettes there with some form of modification than there were Corvettes without modifications.

When it comes to customization, anything goes. It can be as simple as a new set of wheels. Maybe some old school, classic Cragar SS wheels? It can be a clean pin stripe down the side of your car. Or maybe it a carbon fiber interior kit complemented by carbon fiber ground effects.

From there you can go all the way up to full custom paint, Lambo doors, lowered suspension, forced induction or more. The only limits are your imagination and your checkbook.

During our travels we really enjoyed seeing 8 generations of Corvettes with various mods added. From the mild to the wild we loved them all. No matter how simple or complex, those custom features show just how deep Corvette passion runs within our hobby. So, keep tweaking those cars, Corvette Nation and we’ll keep ogling them as you drive by.

Now, enjoy our gallery of custom Corvettes from the 2023 Corvettes at Carlisle show.

  1. nice gallery! I have a few faves, photos #: 11, 19, 66 and 70.

I respect the art and skill of all the cars shown, but for many they are WAY over the top. I know they are for show, but the detail is so grand it hides the inherent beauty of the car.

Strictly my opinion… and not to cast aspersions to their builders. Do you, and be proud! Just me, but simple is better.

  2. “Mr. Ronald McDonald, your Corvette’s ready.”

Definitely, a collection of beautiful personalized Vettes!!!

  3. I really like every one of these Corvettes. They’re all killer but I’m not quite sure what to make of the 70th Anniversary C8 with the Trans Am screaming chicken on the hood (or frunk). I’ve seen that C7 ZR1 with the wild custom burgundy wrap and that C6 with custom Firemist Orange paint where I live. They’re both awesome looking in person.

  4. Nice example of gold wheels on a black car. I’m sure they would look great on a Red Mist as well if not some other colors. The gold offered at a high option color for the C8 is really drab besides overly expensive.

  5. Who would put a Trans Am chicken on a Corvette? The first five photos were cars that didn’t appeal to me at all, just a waste of money and time. Lambo doors, body kits? Just trying to make the car into something it’s not. Just not tastefully done and no real advantage to the mods.

  6. Agree with Robert and Jetdriver on the Chicken logo. What a horrible idea, and I am sure the owner hears it all the time.

Love the Gallery and would like to know of an under hood artist near south Florida I could contact.
I’ve been searching with no luck and really like to get my 2010 Grand Sport under hood done.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks Bob
