A Chevy dealership in Columbus, Ga., is certainly hoping that lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place.
That’s after a C7 Corvette coupe, a Ram panel van, and several Chevrolet SUVs were badly damaged after lightning struck an old gas storage tank in the rear of the dealership over the weekend.
Photos from the scene show the gas tank ignited from the lightning strike and damaged several vehicles, including a gray C7 that suffered extensive body panel damage and broken windows.
Despite the war-zone appearance, the general manager at Sons Chevrolet told a reporter from WTVM that the dealership would be open as usual on Monday.
