Corvettes for Sale: 32K-Mile 1977 Corvette on Craigslist

One of my old high school buddies had a white ’77 Corvette back in the day.

Don’t know what ever happened to that car, but it sure was slick to this fledgling enthusiast in the late ’70s.

Here’s another ’77 that seems to have been pampered over the past 46 years and in a color you don’t see too often nowadays. Back in the day, though, this Corvette Light Blue Stingray was actually one of the more popular colors, with some 5,967 customers choosing this shade. It’s particularly attractive with the Smoke Gray leather bucket seats.

The original owner still has the car, though after 32,132 careful miles, he’s decided to put it up for sale on Craigslist out of the Flint, Michigan area with an asking price of $15,000 or best offer.

“This beautiful baby needs someone to give her the attention she deserves,” he admits.

The 350 V8 engine – though it only produces 180 horsepower – still “roars like she did 46 years ago,” but the seller says “she needs a new owner to drive her and enjoy this classic car.”

According to the owner, the car has always been garage stored and never driven in the rain or snow – a big deal in the Michigan area. Furthermore, he says his “beautiful car” has never been in an accident and doesn’t leak. We’re not sure if he means the T-tops or the drivetrain.

We definitely long for the days when the MSRP was just $10,673.65, like it was for this car loaded with lots of options like power windows, rear defogger, air conditioning, cruise control, automatic transmission, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, white-letter tires, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, aluminum wheels, and leather interior. Of course, when this car was new, I was working at a grocery store for $1.60 an hour!
