[VIDEO] Twin Cities Woman Living the Barbie Lifestyle with Dreamhouse and Pink Corvette

Believe it or not, this 53-year-old blonde bombshell says she was a tomboy growing up.

You’d never know it these days, though, as Ann Marie Keene of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area has turned herself into a real-life Barbie, even driving around these days in a vintage C1 Corvette wrapped in the iconic shade of pink!

“I’ve been taking the Corvette out quite a bit, and I see pictures on Instagram and social,” Keene tells KARE-TV News in Minnesota. “People have spotted the Barbie car. So they’ll stop me.”

The Barbie look-alike has become especially popular these days as the new real-life “Barbie” movie has hit theaters across the nation.

Despite taking on the persona of the famous doll so intensely, Keene admits she isn’t a likely candidate for such a transformation. “I’m actually a brunette. It’s interesting because I grew up a tomboy,” she says. “I didn’t play with Barbies. I know that sounds hard to believe.”

Keene is definitely making up for lost time these days, however. Besides her pink Corvette, Keene has turned her entire home into a real-life Barbie Dreamhouse, including an entire “Barbie room” with a round bed with a hot pink, disc-sequined duvet; an “envy green” kitchen with gold cabinet handles shaped like panthers; and a living room with a velvet sofa, high ceilings, and a rocking horse supported with a gold pole.

She’s opened the home to others as “The Zebra House” since 2020, renting the unusual space for photoshoots, content creation, and bachelorette parties for $125 per hour (two hour minimum, please!). “When I hear people laughing, that is what makes my job all worth it,” she says. “I want people to be able to come and experience the space.”

After spending decades in the corporate world, Keene says it’s time for her to play dress-up. “I’ve never played so hard and had so much fun,” she says. “I love the experience I had for 30 years in the graphic arts industry and corporate, but I’ve taken all that knowledge and now can just have fun.”
