Special 1967 Corvette Offered by Corvette Mike

Our friends at Corvette Mike in Anaheim, California are one of the premier resellers of classic Corvettes in the country, and their online inventory is always one of the pages that a serious collector should be monitoring. With over 40 years experience, Mike Vietro is known as the “leader of the pack” for the quality of Corvettes he offers, and his ability to find those special one-of-a-kind Corvettes has been documented many times previously. If you’re on the hunt for one of those rare gems, you’ll want to keep reading.

Corvette Mike only purchases the highest quality pre-owned Corvettes for resale from private sellers, so if you have a low-mileage or rare Corvette that you are ready to sell, contact Corvette Mike today and let them know what you have.

1967 Corvette Convertible L71

Mike tells us that he has for sale one of the most interesting and rare 1967 Corvettes available and it’s not like anything he’s seen in his 42 years. This Sunfire Yellow 1967 Corvette Convertible now being offered on Bring a Trailer is the only known example of a ’67 Corvette L71 having 15 options, and yet, it’s a Radio Delete car!

1967 Corvette Convertible L71

The 1967 Corvette is powered by a matching numbers 427/435 hp V8 and the M21 four-speed close-ratio manual transmission. For many collectors, that’s reason enough to consider. The Sunfire Yellow exterior with a Black stinger hood is a standout color combo from some of the more traditional exterior combinations we are used to seeing.

The options on the 1967 Corvette Convertible are numerous and feature both performance and comfort items that includes the 3.36 Positraction Rear Axle, Transistorized Ignition, F41 Suspension, and N14 Side Exhaust. It also has power steering, power brakes, shoulder harnesses, headrest seats, a tinted windshield, speed warning indicator, both hard and soft tops, and the very rare five 15-inch bolt-on Kelsey Hayes wheels which were only optioned on 720 Corvettes in the model year. What it doesn’t have is an AM/FM radio, so your only soundtrack is the music coming from the side pipes.

This ’67 Corvette Sting Ray is also well documented with the NCRS Shipping Data Report, NCRS-validated Car Shipper, and a validated Tank Sticker listing each and every one of these options. Following its restoration by a previous owner, the car scored NCRS Top Flight awards in 2008 and 2010. A restoration binder with photos is also included.

1954 Black Roadster

When the Corvettes first started production in 1953, they were only offered in Polo White with Sportsman Red interior and a black soft top, but that changed in 1954 with the Corvette’s move to St. Louis where it began mass-production. The 1954 model year ushered in additional color options including Pennant Blue, Sportsman Red, and Black, while buyers could choose between a Red or Beige interior.

1954 Corvette Roadster

This 1954 Corvette Roadster underwent refurbishment in 2014 and it’s offered now in the rare Black with Red interior combination. The engine bay is in immaculate condition with the 6-cylinder Blue Flame engine touting 150 horsepower. A Powerglide automatic transmission was also “optioned” on the car despite the fact that it was the only transmission offered during the model year. Only 638 miles are showing on the odometer, and Corvette Mike says the car starts up easily and both runs and drives great. The listing also states that it was the recent 3rd Place Winner of the prestigious La Jolla Concours D’ Elegance!

1970 Monza Red LS5 Big Block

As we mentioned previously, Corvette Mike sources cars for resale from individual sellers and because his shop in Anaheim also does restorations and mechanical work, that service work allowed him to meet many different owners over the years. The previous owner of this 1970 Monza Red Convertible was one such customer of Mike’s who owned this Corvette for 40 years. The customer is said to be a renowned collector and Corvette Mike helped maintain the car in its near-perfect present condition with just 19,000 original miles on the odometer.

A dock strike hit GM in 1969 and as a result, the ’69 model year was extended into what would have been the first few months of the 1970 model year. This caused the production numbers of the 1970s to be one of the lowest in Corvette’s 70 years with only 17,316 units built. Of those produced, only 4,473 were optioned with the LS5 454/390hp V8 engine like the one that’s found in the Red convertible.

1970 Monza Red LS5 Big Block

This 1970 Corvette Convertible is matching numbers with the LS5 454/390 hp engine coupled to an M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. Further options include power steering, power brakes, and powered windows, while an AM/FM radio and luggage rack were also included. Inside is a Black interior that presents itself very well.

  1. Makes you wonder if the order had a mistake. However, I had a Lamborghini Countach and I did not understand having an Alpine radio as if it needed one of quality…you don’t hear or play the radio…and who sits in the car to listen to the radio after shutting it off? Crazier yet…the $4000 Macintosh radio option in the 2005/6 Ford GT.
