[VIDEO] The Internet Is Not Impressed with this ‘Insta-Idiot’ Riding on the Back of a C7 Corvette

Sometimes you have to wonder what makes people do the things they do.

Witness this fellow casually eating a Reese’s candy bar while sitting atop the rear end of a C7 Corvette going down U.S. Highway 71 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The antics also included a wheelie-popping cohort tagging along behind the Corvette, as well as someone else on another cycle getting close-ups of the whole affair with their phone camera. Interestingly, the two cyclists were wearing helmets while performing their stunts, while the guy’s head on the back of the Corvette was bare.

We’re not sure how fast the Corvette was going, but even at slow speeds, the rider could have been hurt or killed if he lost his balance. At one point, he even uses both hands to hold his camera and take a video of his friends. All this for a few seconds of fame and the opportunity to gain 72,696 likes (and climbing) on Instagram?

While all those folks did “like” the stunt, others had some concerned comments. Things like:

• “Can’t u open the trunk and sit in there”
  
• “I can easily watch these videos knowing Natural selection will do its thing”
  
• “I bet the shots were cool but like what level of stupidity is this”
  
• “The pandemic really made people feel irrelevant enough to need to do stuff like this. Get help, it’s ok.”
  
• “Would you take a chance like this to earn your 15 minutes of fame?
