After Action Report on the Seven C8 Corvette Z06s Offered for Sale at Mecum Indy 2023

Our friends at Mecum Auctions just wrapped up their 36th Annual Original Spring Classic in Indianapolis and one of the models we wanted to take a closer look at following the sale was how the 2023 Corvette Z06s fared. Mecum had seven C8Zs consigned to the Indy auction, and it’s one of the largest gatherings of C8 Z06s for sale that we have witnessed to date. Let’s check the results and see what happened.

The “Mecum Seven” as we will call them featured four coupes and three convertibles offered for sale. No Z07s were listed, but two of the Z06s featured the Carbon Fiber Aero Packages that have been on heavy constraint since production started last fall. Of the seven, four of the cars were hammered sold with sales prices ranging from $165,000 – $214,500. Two of the Mecum Seven were offered at No Reserve, and they were the cars that sold for $165,00 and $214,500. Only three colors were offered with four of the cars being Torch Red, two were Rapid Blues and one was Black.

Here’s a closer look at each of the Mecum Seven C8Zs from Mecum Indy 2023.

1. LOT J151.2 – 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible – $175,000 High Bid

This is a base 1LZ Convertible model featured in Torch Red with an Adrenaline Red interior, and it has 1,300 miles on the odometer. This is about as as close to being no-option car as you can have. The Z06 was built in January and so it doesn’t have a transferrable warranty.

2. LOT K44.1 – 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe – $190,000 High Bid

This is a 3LZ Coupe in Black with an Adrenaline Red/Black two-tone interior, and it has only 36 miles on the odometer. The car features $33,000 in equipment upgrades including Carbon Ceramic brakes, Front Lift, and Carbon Fiber interior trim. This Z06 was built in April so no transferrable warranty.



3. LOT K126.1 – 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe – $165,000 SOLD!

This 1LZ Torch Red Z06 Coupe has a Jet Black interior with Competition Sport Seats, Sueded microfiber-wrapped steering wheel, and Black Spider Aluminum wheels. The car is another base stripper model with only $5,475 in equipment upgrades. This Z06 was also built in April so no transferrable warranty.



4. LOT L1 – 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe – $198,000 SOLD!

This loaded 3LZ Rapid Blue Z06 Coupe has a Jet Black interior with Yellow stitching. Upgrades include Black Spider Aluminum Wheels, Yellow Calipers, Yellow seatbelts, and the Level 2 Carbon Fiber Interior Trim package. The Z06 was built in Late March so no transferrable warranty.



5. LOT L130.1 – 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe – $192,500 SOLD!

This 3LZ Corvette Z06 Coupe comes in Torch Red and has Jet Black interior with Red stitching. It’s not a Z07 but it does feature the Carbon Fiber aero package with the high wing, dive planes, and ground effects. Original MSRP was $149,970 and there are only 3 delivery miles on the car. The Z06 was completed in April so no transferrable warranty.



6. LOT S95.1 – 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible – $214,500 SOLD!

This 3LZ Corvette Z06 Convertible was the high sale of the Mecum Seven. Offered with a 3LZ trim package and featuring just 24 delivery miles, this Rapid Blue Convertible has a Jet Black interior with Yellow Stitching, and the interior also has the carbon fiber interior trim and Suede steering wheel. Other exterior upgrades include Carbon Flash Nacelles and Top, Yellow brake calipers, and it features Front Lift. The Z06 was completed in early April so no transferrable warranty.



7. LOT S233 – 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible – $190,000 High Bid

Of all the Z06s available, I thought this would be the one to have. It’s VIN is 061 and therefore it should have a transferrable warranty. The Torch Red Convertible has the Carbon Fiber Aero Package and its optioned with 2LZ interior, Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Front Lift, and Black Nacelles and Roof. The car was delivered new at the National Corvette Museum and even includes the NCM Build Book. Inside the car is an Adrenaline Red/Black interior with the Stealth interior trim and it was listed with having 1,251 miles on the odometer.

Mecum will be headed to Tulsa for its next stop with the auction running June 9-10 at the SageNet Center at Expo Square.
