A Hypersonic Gray hardtop convertible Corvette and a motorcycle collided Monday afternoon near the General Motors Flint Assembly Plant, leaving the cyclist injured.

Surprisingly, the C8 Stingray appears to have sustained substantial damage, with the driver’s side front end badly smashed in video of the accident scene posted by Channel 12 Saginaw News.

The accident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of 12th Street and VanSlyke Road in Flint, Michigan.

A reconstruction team from the Michigan State Police spent several hours on Monday and Tuesday in an attempt to see how the crash happened.

The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries was not known, according to the Channel 12 report. Apparently, the Corvette driver wasn’t hurt.

The Flint Assembly Plant is GM’s longest running assembly plant in North America, producing more than 15 million vehicles since 1947 in 1947. Currently, the plant builds the Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD Denali and Sierra HD.

  1. I wonder if the Corvette had his video going. I have mine recording all the time in case of an accident; I have proof that it was not my fault. If it was my fault, well, you erase that part.

  2. The corvette did not suffer the worst fate.. the motorcycle rider and is family did along with his very young daughter.

  3. Update on the victims on the motorcycle? 99 percent of the time, its the drivers fault, not the riders.

  4. What day did this happen?
My son was intentionally hit while riding his motorcycle by a similar Corvette. The driver took off so we are following any possible leads.
