Other than the time saved by offering EXO v5 with its one layer of protection, the real benefit that users of EXO v5 will see are the hydrophobic properties of the coating, which helps to prolong the look of your Corvette by repelling dust and dirt, water marks, and being more durable and resistant to road grime, cleaning chemicals, and even road salt. EXO v5 maintains those hydrophobic qualities for up to two years and it offers a good degree of swirl mark resistance as well.
Another benefit of EXO v5 (and nearly all GTECHNIQ coatings) is that they can be stacked for better performance and protection. EXO v5 is safe to be applied over other GTECHNIC coatings such as Crystal Serum Light or C1 Crystal Lacquer. In fact, GTECHNIQ recommends using C1 Crystal Lacquer or Crystal Serum Light as a base coat first, and then applying EXO v5 as the top level for maximum protection.
EXO v5 is applied with the use of the AP2 Ultra Soft Foam Filled Applicator and then buffed with an MF1 ZeroR Microfiber Buff Cloth to remove any residue, leaving your car’s exterior slick to the touch. Allow at least 12 hours to cure and don’t wash your car for at least a week following application.
