The owners of two C5 Corvettes and a Mustang will be without their vehicles for 30 days after San Francisco police seized them in an illegal sideshow last month.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the sideshow took place in the Mission District near Dolores and 16th streets. Authorities seized one of the Corvettes on April 18 at 4 p.m., and then seized another one in the Lakeview neighborhood the next day.

The three cars will be held for 30 days, with the registered owners required to pay all storage and tow fees.

Illegal sideshows have become a problem in California, including one in Oakland on Cinco de Mayo in which hundreds of cars gathered and took over an intersection, accompanied by fireworks, lasers, and a vehicle car. Police seized and towed about 80 vehicles in that incident, prompting the department to release a statement Monday saying: “Violent, disruptive, and illegal behavior will not be tolerated in the City of Oakland.”

“We have seen as many as 200-300 vehicles show up for these events,” Capt. Daniel Monk of the Sacramento Police Department tells CBS Sacramento.

Oakland Police recently brought this sideshow to a standstill after blocking the roads, and then photographing the cars in attendance:
