Corvettes for Sale: The Vetter Slash has a C6 Corvette with a 400-hp 6.0L V8 Under Its Skin

Mike Vetter has the perfect name to be a custom Corvette builder.

Now one of his most radical designs – the Vetter Slash based on a C6 Corvette – is up for sale on eBay at the “Buy It Now” price of $115,000.

If it was black, the Vetter Slash could definitely be confused for the Dark Knight’s Batmobile. As it is, this car’s dark red paint and wild body design are sure to attract lots of attention on the road. If you’re shy about talking to the public, this one isn’t for you.

Manufactured in Florida, the street rod-inspired Slash borrows a drivetrain from a C6 Corvette with an LS2 400-horsepower engine and a six-speed automatic transmission, making “this car as fast as it looks,” according to the listing.

A cool feature is the reverse opening gullwing doors hinged at the rear that are said to “work incredibly smooth and easy.” Meanwhile, the exterior fiberglass shell is framed with steel tubing glassed to the inside of the body which is welded to the chassis. The seller claims this makes for a factory fit and finish “without any loose parts and no rattling or shaking.”

We’ve seen other Slashes with what appeared to be a slightly revised stock C6 interior, but this one – which appears to have the fourth one built, based on the VIN – has gone much further. It features a custom layout that includes digital gauges with adjustable screens for different styles, with a center screen for the radio, Bluetooth, navigation, and camera and the controls for the A/C on the left side of the glove box. The air vents “light up nicely at night” with adjustable LED colors.

Also included: A removable hardtop and 20-inch staggered wheels.
