[VIDEO] Special Delivery as Emelia Receives Her Refreshed 1500-hp LT2 Engine for her C8 Stingray


After a little layoff, we got some new content from YouTuber Emelia Hartford who is sharing some big news relating to her first Corvette, the 2020 Stingray nicknamed Phoenix.

The car was previously recognized as the fastest C8 Stingray ever for quite a span of time before giving up the world record to FuelTech USA. Emelia’s fastest time in Phoenix was 9.36 seconds in the quarter and she’s always stated her intention to get the car into the 8s, but now she’s talking about making a really fast car with the 7s in her sights, and it all starts with the big crate that was dropped off at the shop.

If you want just the Corvette content, skip ahead in the video to around 4:45 minutes if you don’t want to watch her driving the Ferrari 296 or see her rip some wicked burnouts in the twin-turbo Ferrari 458.

The crate in question comes from the engine builders at Texas Speed containing her refreshed LT2 engine. She mentions that when Texas Speed broke down the motor, she apparently had bent four of the rods. However, that’s not the only thing getting an update. Emelia said the clutches were sent back to Dodson to be rebuilt, and the Peitz Performance twin-turbo kit was refreshed as well.

With that, Emelia unboxes her newly refreshed built LT2 and does a nice reveal by pulling back the cover to show it mounted on an engine stand. The rest of the video is spent reassembling the Corvette with the new engine, turbos, clutch, and even the brakes are getting refreshed as well.

We should get a the first cold start and perhaps a quick run in the car in the next video.
