The market for the new Corvette Z06 seems to be all over the place.
We’ve reported on various auctions in the past few weeks with final bids ranging from $178,569 to $222,000 that didn’t meet the reserve, plus two other sales that did have positive sale-throughs at $206,500 and $227,000.
The latest of these 2023 Chevy supercars to appear on Bring a Trailer has only one day left in the auction, and the high bid is just $155,000 – which we’d surmise to be well below the reserve and somewhat disappointing to the selling dealer who obtained it in February likely hoping for a windfall.
Of course, a last-minute frenzy of action could push the final offer much higher.
While this black beauty is a top-of-the-line 3LZ coupe, it still has a relatively low MSRP of $131,255.
The $10,710 worth of options include the $2,595 Front Lift, $995 Transparent Removable Roof Panel, $695 Bright Red Painted Brake Calipers, $595 Stealth Interior Trim Package, $595 Engine Intake in Red, $595 2-Tone Seats, $495 Spider Black Aluminum Wheels, $495 Torch Red Seat Belt, $395 Black Exhaust Tips, $395 Rear Corvette Script, Painted Torch Red, and $260 Premium Carpeted Floor Mats.
Of course, the star of the Z06 show is the standard 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 engine that produces 670 horsepower, and the red engine intake adds to the drama in this case.
The black exterior of this one, meanwhile, really gives off that stealthy “Batmobile” look, but we really like the contrast offered by the Adrenaline Red interior and its optional 2-tone seats in red and black.
The car reportedly was acquired by the selling dealer in February with 313 miles. Time will tell if it will wind up with a new owner tomorrow?
Update:
The Z06 was bid to $190,000 but did not meet reserve.
