RPO 'EFY' Body-Color Trim Now Available on the 2023 Corvette Z06

Well, there goes my theory on spotting exterior differences for the Z06 vs the E-Ray.

Following the visualizer leak of the 2024 Corvette E-Ray which features the same widebody design as the Z06, we put forth a thesis that basically stated that the E-Ray and Z06 will be visually differentiated by whether or not it has body-color trim. After all, since ordering opened in August, the Z06 has only been available to order with carbon flash metallic trim, and with the E-Ray visualizer showing no carbon flash trim, that seemed an easy call to make.

But that theory is now out the window as the latest update to GM’s 2023 Corvette Order Guide is now showing that the Z06 will be available to order with body-color exterior accents (EFY). There are some disclaimers as technically, you can’t order EFY on Black cars, and that extends to the 70th Anniversary models as well. The Distribution Updates at the end of the Corvette Order Guide say these changes go into effect the week of 12/19/22. It may still be days or weeks before we see it on the official Build and Price Configurator. We checked it today and do not see EFY yet available.

If the price remains the same for the Z06 as it was for the Stingray, (and we see no reasons why it would be different) EFY would add an additional $995 to your order.

  3. The side intakes are terrible on the Stingray, and REQUIRE body coloring to hide them. But the ZO6/E-Ray “wishbone” is ABSOLUTELY HORREDOUS. A horrible copy of the goofy Lambo SVJ. Just give all C8’s a version of the C8-R side intakes without the garbage tacked on black plastic, because it’s the only intake design that is acceptable. Should have copied the clean and integrated side intake design from the Ferrari 488/F8, the base Aventador, or the McLaren GT.

  4. Best thing that can be done to clean up any confiquration of the C8, body color accents because you can body color roof panels, the nacells on the verts etc.

  5. The E-Ray looks awful with the busy grill pieces painted body color. I would have to have all trim (entire car) removed and painted black if it that is not an option on the E-Ray that I am on a waiting list for.
