Scrape Armor announced today their GM approved front grille screens are now available as a LPO accessory. This means they can be added in the online build configurator and/or at your Dealer through Order Workbench.
Scrape Armor’s front grille screen RPO code is VWE on the build guide (GM Part No. 19433251).
The front grille screens are $399.95 + install. As an official Chevrolet accessory, you can also use your My Chevrolet Rewards points towards your purchase or roll it into financing if ordering with your dealer.
If you already have your Corvette, they can also be purchased from Chevrolet Dealer parts departments nationwide (Part No. 19433251) or directly from Scrape Armor.
Scrape Armor’s front grille screens are the only tested and GM approved guards on the market and are used exclusively by Spring Mountain Motorsport Park and the National Corvette Museum.
Scrape Armor’s front grille screens are also the only guards designed from the OEM CAD data and formed to match the 3D Surface of the C8’s OEM grille inlet to ensure a perfect fit and seamless protection.
Scrape Armor’s guards are made in the USA from the exact material used on the other mesh parts of the vehicle and feature the same 5 step pretreatment and powder coat process as the other OEM metal mesh components on the vehicle to ensure maximum longevity.
Install can be done without bumper removal, utilizing custom brackets and quick release push fasteners.
Scrape Armor is currently completing development with GM on front grille protection for the C8 Z06 (GM Part Number 19434021), which will also be an LPO accessory under the same RPO code VWE.
We’re told they’re in final stages of validation and will begin shipping very soon.

Very nice… Just seems this should be standard equipment on a $75k-$85k (on average), sportscar.
