[SPIED] 2023 Corvette Z06 Spotted Wearing Caffeine Metallic

Two weekends ago we were all excited as the first photos of the 2023 Corvette Z06 in Rapid Blue were shown. In that post, we stated that the only color yet to be seen on America’s newest sportscar is Caffeine Metallic. That was mostly true as it was the only regular production color that the Z06 had not yet been seen with, but also incorrect as we are still waiting to see the 70th Anniversary Editions on the Z06 as well.

But at least we can now check the Caffeine Metallic box as seen thanks to the folks at GM Authority. In a photo posted yesterday, they are showing the Caffeine Metallic Z06 wearing the Z07 Performance Package with the high wing, dive planes, and the Spider forged aluminum wheels.

We also spied a CTF sticker on the car. Thanks to some new intel posted on the MECF, we have learned that there are at least 73 Corvette Z06 CTF cars in existence. Our previous tally was 55 after a VIN pic from an Acclerate Yellow Corvette Z06 was shared online last month.

Getting a C8 Z06/Z07 with the Caffeine Metallic exterior is one sure way of having a ‘unique’ Corvette. Caffeine Metallic was introduced in 2022 and only accounted for 385 of the 25,000 new Corvettes produced during the 2022 model year. If it performs like Zeuz Bronze did in 2020 and 2021, we’ll expect Caffeine’s second-year production totals to be even less.

  1. “Unique” because who wants it? How about trade it for an exciting, bright green or purple? Better yet, add about 6 new colors and have more options that people have to pay a premium for if necessary. Or like Porsche, over 200 colors that you can choose from at a cost of yet a higher premium.

  2. The only good thing about this color being on a Z06/07 is that all of the carbon flash trim somewhat dilutes the crappein brown.

  3. I saw on this site they listed the price point for the Zo6 starting at 86,799 fully tricked out it should come in at 130.000 dollars.

  4. Really doesn’t interest me. How about some pricing and an order form. This fluff is getting so old.

  5. The guy in charge of the color palette at Corvette needs an eye exam and a severance package. Eyesore tennis ball yellow, ceramic matrix blueish grey white, whatever they did to silver to ruin it, brown, stripes….holy moly just stop it.

  6. Another weak, futile attempt to keep our interest in the Z06 when, IN FACT, GM/B-G has released: NO PRICING, NO CONFIGURATOR, NO GUIDELINES ON DEALER RAPING RULES, NO PRODUCTION DATE, NO NOTHING. YET we continue to see constant daily/stupid teasers about the “this Z06” or “that Z06”. ENOUGH WITH THE B-S. THIS IS, WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE MOST MISHANDLED, DUMBEST, ROLLOUT OF A CORVETTE MODEL HISTORY. Give us something other that pretty pics and hopes GM. You owe us that.

  7. I agree, this FLUFF B-S is getting real old. Enough with the constant “teasers”, the ad nauseum “news flashes”, “seen here” etc. Give us something with some meat in it please. NO PRICING, NO ORDER DATE, NO PRODUCTION DATE, NO CONFIGURATOR, NO DEALER RAPING RULES, NO – “NUTTIN HONEY”. WORST ROLLOUT IN GM HISTORY.

  8. GM dropping the ball once again. We have Mary Barra to thank for that. The Queen of incompetence.

  9. Contrary to most comments, I think this is an great color option. We have a 1974 FE7 car in dark brown metallic and it is always a show favorite.
This color option will stand out in a crowd so much better than the very common red, blue, and black color cars.

  10. when the sun hits it, the color is very modern, it’s impressive, it’s like a bronze. I agree with JIM that they have damaged nice colors like orange, yellow and silver. However with the Gray, the blues and the reds have not been wrong.
