In our daily trawl through YouTube’s latest Corvette videos, we came across this review and driving video of a 2022 Corvette Stingray wearing the new Caffeine Metallic. If you want to see how this color looks from various angles and at different times of the day, here is your chance!
This new color for 2022 certainly won’t be setting any sales records, but we’ve talked to more than a few Corvette owners interested in seeing Caffeine Metallic. We’ve seen the color just twice (Carlisle, NCM) and then only stationary and not driving around. According to the video description, this is a 2LT Coupe outfitted with the Natural interior, body-color trim, and bright silver Trident wheels. MSRP of the car as tested was $84,475.
For us, it’s a color really designed for daytime use only as it contains more metallic flake than any other previous exteriors so it really shines bright. But when the sun goes down it does lose its luster. But that’s just my opinion and as colors are subjective, go with what moves you!

However, watching the video and especially seeing the color in the outdoor views, there is a lot more Maroon in the color than I previously gave it credit for, and I do like the combo with the bright wheels and emblems. So my opinion has evolved with each new sighting.
Some of this video is a bit mundane as you’ve been through all the driving mode menus already and the driving sequences aren’t particularly interesting. If you stick with it through to the end, you’ll see the driver does have a bit of an issue with getting the removable roof back on. Eventually, he found success!

Bravo Chevrolet for pushing the color chart spectrum… While caffeine may not be for everyone, for those that love brown…this is it! Enjoy your C8!!!
The 70’s are back!
That color of interior is a must for the caffeine. Either that or natural dipped.
I like it. He’ll learn that you need to have both windows down a little or both doors open so he won’t struggle with the top. Once the pins are aligned you just push it backwards and the front will drop down far enough to fasten. Once you pop it loose in the trunk, change your grip to front and back edge so can put it right on where you need it.
Dear God…I just wanted to reach thru the internet and show him how to handle the darn roof panel.
Not sure how he took delivery of this car without being shown by the dealer how to put the roof on properly. Should take about 30 seconds.
