Italy’s Milano Monza Motor Show just concluded after the four-day run and we only just learned about it from a quick video posted to YouTube. So we started digging into it a little further and found this is a pretty cool event for America’s Favorite Sports Car to be participating in. In fact, the Corvette was the only vehicle we could find from General Motors, but the competition was well represented.

One of the cooler aspects of the Milano Monza Motor Show 2022 or MIMO as it’s called, is that the show brings over 40 manufacturers from around the world representing everything from supercars to prestigious classics and manufacturer prototypes. These automobiles and motorcycles were then placed on display in the city’s central locations, allowing free access to the public.

You can click here to see all the cars at MIMO 2022 and here is the specific page for the 2022 Corvette Stingray Convertible which was shown in Amplify Orange with Carbon Flash nacelles, roof, and spoiler. Make sure to use the translate function on your browser for the full presentation.

There were other events as well and we caught this from the official Instagram account with a nod to the C8 Corvette Stingray and Chevrolet Europe (via Google Translate):

Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray preview, the latest evolution of @chevroleteurope’s iconic sports range. For the first time in history, the Detroit #supercar mounts its engine in a central position! A symbol of the car, made in the U.S.A, present at MIMO, Milan Monza Motor Show

The video of the American sports car in Italy comes via the Motor Channel GMT which shows the Amplify Orange HTC on display outside of a Nike store of all places.

I like to imagine that there are kids in Milan seeing the Corvette for the first time and hoping that someday they too can own a real American sports car. Of course, this would break the heart of the kid’s father who only wishes that he would aspire to drive a domestic sports car made in Maranello.
