[VIDEO] Emelia Hartford On Her World Record Breaking C8 Corvette Stingray

Automotive Youtuber Emelia Hartford was recently on the Cars and Culture podcast with Jason Stein and he shared this quick video excerpt with Emelia discussing her twin-turbo C8 Corvette Stingray named Phoenix.

Emelia was asked by Jason what it felt like break the record and she recounts the story about when she first got her Corvette, the plan was to keep it stock. However, that plan only lasted until her second day in car. She tells Jason how she was driving back to California after taking delivery of the car in Kentucky and she stopped in Texas to put a nitrous bottle on the car to see what it could do as another YouTuber had just set the fastest time.

While she didn’t break the record that day, it was the beginning of her “trip down the rabbit hole” to see how fast they could take the car despite it having an encrypted ECU. As for another attempt to reclaim the world record, she says “we’re still working on going back out there.”

  1. Ya pretty tired of hearing about this broad, seems like a high maintenance spoiled brat.

  2. She looks more presentable after getting her front splitter streamlined. Still a spoiled rotten brat

  3. Not to add to the comments here, but I agree. What’s next? A video from her six months from now talking of selling her “Phoenix” in exchange for one of the first Z06’s for her to ruin with aftermarket crap? In between pitching products for her sponsors, of course.

  4. Well, unlike some other content creators out there, it appears she owns her equipment. This said, as long as she does right by the car and the traditions behind it, I don’t have an issue. Her content just isn’t my thing, but more power to her.
