[VIDEO] Flood Damaged 2021 Corvette Convertible From Ida Headed for Insurance Auction

Earlier this month, Tropical Storm Ida caused massive flooding across portions of the northeast with New York and the surrounding areas being particulary hard hit. Unfortunately, many cars were lost in the flooding including a Rapid Blue 2021 Corvette Stingray shown in this quick video.

The clean-up from the storms has been well underway with Insurance Auto Auctions storing many of these flood-damaged vehicles on portions of the 7,000-ft runway at Calverton Enterprise Park in Suffolk County, NY.

This ’21 Stingray must have really been in some deep water as the dirt and debris completely covers the inside of the 3LT two-tone blue interior of the car. Watch how the camera pans the interior with the dash and infotainment screen covered with a layer of dirt. As the camera circles around the Blue Convertible, we wonder if it was completely submerged as the nacelles are also covered in the grime left from the floodwaters.

We browsed the IAAI.com website looking to see if the Corvette had been listed for auction, but it’s not showing up yet. However, we did come across two other flooded 2021 Corvettes down at the IAAI site in Baton Rouge where Ida first came ashore as a hurricane before heading up the interior of the US. A third flooded Corvette will also be offered by IAAI in Philadephia. And these are just the ’21s! Look for more flooded Corvettes from all generations in the coming weeks.

  1. Everthing electrical is absolute toast. Judging by the high water mark, most mechanicals are probably compromised too. It’s not worth much at this point.
