Corvettes for Sale: Take All Your Friends to the Show in This Custom Four-Door C3 Corvette

We’re not sure what to think about this conglomeration of C3 Corvettes that have been metamorphosized into a weird four-seater limousine sports-car thingamajig.

Listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace out of Gardnerville, New York for just $12,900, the car apparently was created from a pair of 1978-79 Canadian-market Corvettes some 30 years ago and hence is titled as a 1990 Corvette because that’s when it was constructed.

A vintage photo shows the creation at an indoor car show, and we’re sure it drew a lot of attention while there – as well as on the way there! We have to admit, if someone wants to carry more than two people in a C3, this is definitely the ticket.

The side and front views of the car actually aren’t too bad in our opinion, but we do get a little queasy looking at the the “big ol’, big ol'” rear end that is much too wide. Those fender extensions apparently had to be that way, though, to allow for the use of the side skirts for entry into the car.

The interior looks to be pretty much a stock late-C3 version, though the new rear bench seat is apparently a homemade creation that unfortunately doesn’t match the style of the front buckets but does offer a nice view of the portable TV mounted on a custom wood shelf unit. They could probably use a rear vision camera from the new C8, huh?

The car, which features metric gauges, is said to have covered just 2,676 kilometers (or 1,663 miles) over the past 30 years , though no confirmation is included in the listing.

We’re likewise told that the car has new tires and features a small block 350 engine that “runs good drives good.” We also like the cool storage behind the rear seat. Despite those positive attributes, however, the seller admits this Corvette “needs lots of TLC to (be) put back to show quality.”

Chris Leo says he’s selling the car for a friend who’s owned it for more than 20 years but “can no longer drive.” Everyone keeps asking him, he complains, if there is something wrong with the car, but Chris says it “just needs cosmetics – it drives just fine.”

We can actually think of worse ways to spend nearly $13,000 than on this car, though. It might be kind of cool to have a Corvette limo for those special occasions when you want to carry all the kids and not have to choose who’s left behind crying in the driveway, don’t you think?

  1. Well I know what to think – major ugly and a tremendous waste of parts that could have been used to resurrect a needy C3(s). It’s obvious there was no original design for this ‘creation’.

  2. WHY??? What a waste of parts. I wouldn’t be caught dead even riding in that POS. Looks like a death trap. I used to drive REAL limos, this is embarrassing.

  3. What an abomination !!! Its disrespecting the C3 generation an the thousands of C3 owners, including myself. I have seen these C3 Corvette “clown cars” before, but this has to be the worst, not only because they butchered a Corvette, but they made it look like a “Pimp’s Car”
Break it up for parts..at least it would contribute to C3 parts supply
