We’ve been following various aftermarket designers who are working towards creating a widebody kit for the C8 Corvette, but so far we’ve seen just the one from Pandem/Rocket Bunny that has been successfully installed on a car. Last month, we shared the first pics of the Black 2020 Corvette with the Pandem kit as owned by Alex Lawn, and today we are following up with a video featuring a walk-around and drive in this special car.
The video comes from YouTuber Brent Ruiz who helps break down all the really cool features and aftermarket options that are now on the car. In addition to the Pandem widebody kit, Alex also installed an air suspension on the car that allows him to raise or lower the car with the flick of a switch.

As Alex and Brent go for a drive in the Black C8 Corvette Stingray, Alex talks about the build process and says he really got lucky to be hooked up with the right people to make it all possible. The build time was remarkably quick too as Pandem designer Tra Kyoto first introduced the kit via a series of renderings on Instagram in early September.
Brent runs through some of the aftermarket vendors who assisted and we learn that Corvette is also sporting a prototype Borla Attack exhaust system and we are offered a few revs and a highway pull to get a sense of the sound.

This is the world’s first complete 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 with a widebody kit! The kit is by Pandem / Rocket Bunny. This C8 Corvette build also is fitted with air suspension, LD97 Forged wheels, custom carbon fiber by C7 Carbon, Toyo R888R tires and a prototype Borla Attack exhaust system. This thing looks INSANE! Exposed rivets and screws?! Classless. I know a couple of railroad crossings that would blast all of those pieces off in one shot.
Right idea, so so implementation. From 20ft it looks killer. Need to mold the rear fenders in.
I’ve said before that the riveted on fender flares are ugly. I also don’t like the squared off wheel well openings nor the rear wing.
GARBAGE! won”t fit in most peoples garages anyway.
Pop rivets on rear fenders would stop me from even considering the option.
