We told you in September about a pristine 2000 Torch Red Corvette convertible with 5,589 miles for sale for $31,750 in Florida.
Now comes another Corvette in the same color combination – Torch Red with white top over red interior – on the West Coast, in similarly flawless condition, too.
This one is up for sale on eBay through Friday, Nov. 6, with a more reasonable “Buy It Now” price of $20,900.
The car is said to have been stored in an indoor garage and used primarily as a weekend pleasure toy, winning “Best Paint” and “Best C5 in Show” honors, thanks to its pristine condition.
Including the somewhat rare 6-speed manual transmission (13,320 out of 33,682 produced) that added $815 to the price, the car wound up listing for a whopping $51,464, with a total of $5,114 worth of options like polished aluminum wheels ($895), adjustable sport bucket seats ($700), active handling system ($500), Corvette Museum delivery ($490), air conditioning with electronic dual zone ($365), performance handling package ($350), steering column – power telescoping and manual tilt ($350), 6-way power passenger seat ($305), memory package ($150), AM/FM stereo with CD ($100), fog lamps ($69), and color-keyed floor mats ($25).
Based on the photos with the listing, the car’s interior is PERFECT, looking like it just came off the showroom floor. The paint, meanwhile, is described as “absolute stunning, flawless, like glass. You must see it to believe it.”
According to the AutoCheck report provided, the car had 62,232 miles at its latest emissions inspection in California in June 2020. One negative is that an accident was reported in 2006, but no mention is made of how serious it was. That would be a good question for a prospective buyer to ask.
Included with the sale is extensive documentation, including the original window sticker, Corvette Museum delivery paperwork, build order, original bill of sale, original Corvette sales brochure, maintenance receipts, and more.
The car is said to have new tires, with all service up to date and all fluids changed on a regular basis, including a Mobil 1 oil change just a few days ago. It’s also been polished and waxed monthly, according to the listing, and is said to drive “great,” with everything working and “no issues at all.”
While the asking price is more than your average C5 convertible, this one appears to be worth it, if you’re looking for what might be one of the nicest examples out there.
